Moon Venus aspects in synastry. General
Venus and Moon are both feminine, passive and receptive planets. Both planets can give clues about our love language.
The Moon in a person's chart shows their feelings, inner emotional self, their instinctual reactions and their habitual patterns. In a man's chart the Moon can represent his wife, and Psychologist Jung considered it to symbolize `the anima` - the feminine side of a person. The Moon also represents our non-negotiable needs. In a relationship (friendship, family, romantic partner) the involvement of the Synastry contacts to Moon in synastry are very important, otherwise we don't have an intimate connection to that person. The Moon shows how we nurture and take care of people.
Venus is also a very important planet when analyzing synastry between people who are in relationships. Venus shows what we find pleasurable and beautiful, what attracts us and how we attract, what we find valuable, what we look for in a partnership. In a man's chart it also signifies his ideal girlfriend and what kind of woman attracts him romantically. Synastry aspects to Venus do not result in passion. For passion and sexual attraction we look at our Mars. But Venus and the Moon can be receptive to the advancements of Mars.
Moon conjunct Venus in synastry
This is a great aspect to have in any kind of relationship, as well as the trine and the sextile. One person's emotional needs (the Moon) blends with the other person's sense of esthetics. How the person holding the Moon really is, their inner self is seen as valuable by the Venus person. One person's vulnerability is being met by the other's way of being pleasant and nice. The Moon person feels safe to express their emotions in this relationship because they know Venus will accommodate and validate them. This is a great aspect for emotional intimacy. The Moon person ca be supportive of the Venus person's artistic pursuits, hobbies and spending of money. What Venus finds pleasurable and beautiful the Moon person finds safe and emotionally fulfilling. The Venus person may enjoy socializing at home with the Moon and the Moon's family. Venus can also contribute financially to the family and home of the Moon person. This aspect can compensate any hard contacts in the synastry chart. It is also important to see how the Venus's Moon is being aspected, because in an intimate relationship it is necessary that the fulfilment of emotional needs is mutual
Moon trine Venus in synastry
The emotional core of one person has an easy blending with someone else's values and way of relating. The display of one partner's emotions determines an affectionate response from the Venus person, but not as intense and immediate as the conjunction. The Moon likes to spend time at home with Venus and Venus likes to socialize with the Moon. Similar to the conjunction the Moon may be emotionally supportive of the Venus person's style, artistic pursuits and way of spending money. The Moon persons support and nurturing can help Venus build their finances. If the Moon person is a male and the Venus person is a female, his idea of wife and maternal figure will be in tune with her constructed femininity. If the woman is the Moon and the man is the Venus, depending if the man expresses consciously his Venus, her maternal instincts and natural femininity will go well with his projection of the feminine or his own desire nature, artistic sense and way of spending money. There may be to much tolerance in this relationship and a tendency for laziness and passivity. This aspect is great if you have other potentially volatile aspects in your synastry like a Mars square Mars.
Moon sextile Venus in synastry
The sextile is the least powerful of the easy aspects, and it is a contact that implies synergy. What Venus finds enjoyable, the Moon still finds safe but with a small effort of accommodation because it's not quite similar like in the conjunction and the trine. Let's say we have a Moon in Cancer and a Venus in Virgo. The Moon in Cancer wants to spend time at home with the Virgo Venus watching emotional movies and Venus in Virgo wants to do a beauty routine. Venus in Virgo will watch the soap opera with Moon in Cancer while applying an aloe vera face mask, and Moon in Cancer will have to accept that their partner may not cry at the film's emotional scenes. They are not similar, but can still manage to have a lovely time together with a minimal accommodation. The Moon can still be supportive of Venus, but they will need to make a small effort to emotionally connect with what Venus finds pleasurable.
