VENUS IN TAURUS IN THE NATAL CHART

VENUS I TAURUS 1.jfif

Venus is the planet that rules the zodiac sign of Libra (cardinal Air) and Taurus   (fixed Earth). The planet governs matters associated with:

  • Libra/ the 7th house (romantic love, one on one relationships like marriage/ friendship, fairness, grace, politeness, aesthetics, art but also vanity, superficiality and indecisiveness)

  • Taurus/ the 2nd house (physical beauty, finances, luxuries, jewelry, land you own, food, bodily pleasures but also greed, gluttony, possessiveness and hedonism).

Both are representative of beauty. In air sign fashion, Libra Venus seeks   beauty in principles and ideas, while Venus in the earthy sign of The Bull is   enamored with the beauty of the physical world, seeing it as the most desirable.        Venus also rules our values. While a Venus in Libra could have more progressive   social ideas (a trait of the air element), a Venus in Taurus will definitely be more   conservative due to its fear of change and loss of comfort. Saturn does well in   Venus's signs Libra (where it is exalted) and Taurus. I do think capitalism is ruled   by Capricorn (economical system, competition between private companies) and   Taurus (markets, the end goal of making a profit, providing goods for a price).

Venus governs romantic relationships and one on one partnerships like marriage/ friendship, and can also symbolize the partner in the birth               chart. Venus in Taurus people usually like and attract partners who are financially stable (maybe they have a very stable income, a successful business,   their own house). They can own propriety, land, stocks, or any other valuable objects. The partners of Venus in Taurus could work in the food industry (owning a restaurant or being a chef), in the beauty industry (make-up, jewelry, fashion), or in someplace where he is providing some sort of goods. In   relationship, Venus in Taurus prefers long-term partnerships, especially if this Venus also makes a positive aspect, or in some cases even a negative aspect   to Saturn. The relationship can become possessive at times because Taurus wants to maintain what is his and is not so thrilled about change or loss. The   possessiveness can go both ways.

If Pluto is also involved by aspect with Venus, possessiveness and jealousy can become a trademark of the relationship. In case Pluto or Saturn make   hard aspects with Venus, the stability of the relationship will be challenged. Pluto Venus hard aspects force change through destruction and rebirth of the   relationship and Saturn Venus hard aspects mean there will be obstacles (especially practical ones) that test the relationship.

In some instances, the partner of Venus in Taurus can shower the Venus in Taurus person with gifts or the exact opposite - can be unwilling to share   resources, fearing loss of material things, the second situation being more frequent when Saturn makes an aspect to Venus.

I've mentioned Saturn and Pluto (forgot about Neptune and Uranus), because the 80' - 90' generation with Venus in Taurus also have Pluto in Scorpio in opposition to their Venus and they've got Neptune, Uranus and some of them Saturn in Capricorn making a trine to the planet of beauty. Of course this gives a different tone to Venus in Taurus. I will discuss more about these aspects in other posts. I will end this tangent with saying that out of all the generational planets mentioned, Saturn does best (even in hard aspect) because of the relationship of the sign it rules (Capricorn) with Taurus (trine between two earth signs) and Neptune does second best (the Neptune ruled water sign of Pisces forming a sextile to the earthy sign of Taurus).

 - you attract stable things and people into your life

 - you appreciate more conservative values: preserving tradition, settling down,   the passing down of generational wealth, the preservation of life

 - you take care of your body, the people you care for and the things you own
